Trainers
One of the great benefits offered to C&DRC members is the provision of good value, quality instruction.
Please note: The following have been trainers at club events - no recommendation is implied by their inclusion here.
- Ruth Fyfe
- John Adams
- Gill Fullen - BHSII, worked for John Lasseter for many years and has successfully trained many young riders in competitive dressage (to prix St George level).
- Fran Berry
- Virginia Brinton moved to the U.K. from the States in 1969, showing and riding hunters, jumpers, western, and eventing up to Intermediate. Virginia has trained with John Lasseter, Pat Manning, Baron Hans von Blixen Finecke, Romy Wogar and Jorge Perrera in dressage. She has owned Dorus, a Dutch warmblood, since he was a five year old and has schooled him from preliminary to advanced level. Virginia began teaching in 1986; is actively instructing up to the present time and has helped many horse/rider combinations to achieve their ambitions; whether to overall improve their riding and their mount’s way of going and, for the competitive, to take part more confidently and successfully in their particular equestrian pursuit; always with the horse’s welfare in mind.
- Val Gingell is a British Eventing Accredited Trainer, and the Eastern Region Junior Rider Co-ordinator. Formerly a successful event rider herself, she now owns and trains “The Busker” who won a gold medal at the Young Rider European Championships in Sweden with Phoebe Buckley last autumn, and who is aiming for Badminton 2006. Val’s clinics focus on jumping exercises to make both horse and rider think. You do not need to be a potential International rider to participate!
- Sarah Millard
