The Cambridge & District Riding Club is ................

A British Horse Society affiliated club whose aims are
a) to encourage riding as a sport and recreation, to promote good fellowship amongst riders and to improve and maintain the standard of riding and horsemanship;
b) to organise instructional meetings, lectures and competitive events, and other activities deemed to further the Objects;
c) to support and co-operate with recognised organisations interested in the breeding and use of all types and breeds of horses and ponies;
d) to investigate, define and maintain bridle tracks and rights of way ;
e) to concern itself with any subject that will benefit the horse and horse user in the district.

C&DRC is essentially a friendly platform from where members can meet likeminded people with whom to compete, train, watch or discuss horse matters.

We run our own club Show in the spring, and a winter Indoor Dressage Competition series. As a BHS affiliated club we are able to send teams to Area Qualifiers in all (or at least most) disciplines. These are run to a high and consistent standard, and the winners progress to prestigious National Finals. We encourage members to participate in our teams, but do not apply pressure on performance.

We offer good value group training sessions with a number of instructors at venues through the county, and at all levels of ability.

Although traditionally aimed at the "seniors" (17years and over) , we now have an active, growing and very competitive junior section for members of 12-16 years.

The Club is run by a voluntary committee of elected members, and all profits are used to the benefit of the Club.

Child Protection: The C&DRC follows the BEF recommendations on Child Welfare and Protection. Our Officer is Kerry Simson. Please feel free to contact her in confidence if there are any circumstances for concern.
